Adna is a small rural town subject to the flooding events of the Chehalis River. To minimize the towns flood risk OSG constructed a levee flowing surface water around the vulnerable part of the town. A large precast box culvert was designed and installed beneath the town’s primary street. Traffic control, demolition, and complete right of way reconstruction were required. Seeding and erosion control measures made sure no silt was passed to fish bearing waters downstream. Once in place, the box culvert became an integral piece of a 4000’ levee flowing water around numerous residences.
