Evergreen Forest Elementary required building demolition, complete site regrading, and an underground utility upgrade. 5000 yards of unsuitable soils were discovered and exported in the process. Onsite storm water was collected and piped to a new infiltration pond. An existing 15,000 gallon septic system was abandoned and replaced with a lift station tying into the recently upgraded city sewer system. Old water mains were abandoned and new mains, hydrants, and building fire services were added. Numerous new building pads and new parking lots were provided to accommodate the growing demand. Through careful scheduling and by working closely with the district the project was accomplished with minimal disturbance to the occupied school.
