An existing homestead overlooking Puget Sound provided the site for the Mission Townhome project. Demolition of the existing structure, septic abandonment, and clearing were performed. Due to the sites close proximity to the water erosion control was a major priority monitored daily. Storm water runoff was piped to a diffuser located near the high tide elevation. A fire water loop was required through the townhome site. Three septic grinder pumps pumped effluent up to the city sewer system. Moisture sensitive soils required continuous aeration and covering when stockpiled. A Stone Terra retaining wall system was engineered and installed to allow room for the new city right of way.
