Over the years OSG has done many site packages for large scale tilt up buildings. A fully timbered site, Univera required the export of 60,000 yards of topsoil and glacial till to reach the planned grades. Densely compacted native material required larger scale equipment to install the 6300’ of underground utilities. Crushed rock grading courses were placed beneath 140,000 SF building slabs and graded to exacting tolerance with the aid of laser guided machines. Once the concrete slabs were poured large concrete wall panels were cast eventually being lifted into place on previously poured footings. Foundation and wall backfill was performed using self-compacting granular materials prior to the completion of perimeter slab pours. The site was paved and completed concurrent with the building roof assembly expediting the entire site schedule.
